If you are passionate about next-generation 6G cellular systems, we encourage you to apply.DescriptionDescription- Analyze and define cellular system requirements. - Set and track end-to-end cellular platform KPIs, including modem performance and energy efficiency, from both a system-wide and end-user perspective. - Provide technical leadership in cross-functional engineering teams. Present sophisticated technical topics to multi-level audiences, including executives. - Identify and drive innovation for cellular platforms with a focus on optimizing modem performance and user experience. - Contribute to the development of related simulators and technology demonstrators to ensure robust functionality and performance. - Build intellectual property.Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsProven foundations in signal processing and communication theory, such as OFDM, MIMO techniques, estimation, and detection theory.Experience with Python, C/C++, and Matlab for concept development and modeling.Understanding of wireless systems and related performance indicators.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in achieving complex technical goals.Key QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsA Master's or higher degree in Wireless System Engineering, or Electrical/Communications Engineering with some years of working experience.Knowledge of cellular communication standards, in particular, PHY, MAC, and RRC procedures would be desirable.Expertise in 5G, wireless signal processing, RF, or baseband system design would be a plus.Familiarity with machine learning and tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.Familiarity with cellular user equipment (UE) baseband modem architecture, including interfaces among subsystems.Apple is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
