The Sales Representative role is based out of the Greater Toronto Area and reports directly to the Sales Manager. You will work from your home (remote) office but the territory will include the Province of Ontario, spanning from Windsor, through the greater GTA, and into Ottawa.
This is a great opportunity to be a key player in the management and success of a cement sales market. This position is responsible for a large territory and unique operations and has a lot to offer a motivated candidate in terms of challenges, experience, and potential for future growth.
What You’ll Get to Do:Drive Results: Proactively and strategically shape outcomes by deeply understanding your customers and the market.Sales Excellence: Utilize a structured sales approach to manage your territory, ensuring the right product reaches the right customer at the right price.Customer Commitment: Create exceptional customer experiences, establishing Heidelberg Materials as the most reliable and easiest construction materials provider.Account Management: Effectively manage and maintain existing customers and projects while continuously developing new ones.Strategic Planning: Actively maintain customer interactions and strategies through meticulous sales planning and documentation of market and territory development.Team Collaboration: Foster a strong team culture by participating in team meetings that drive alignment and collective success.Essential Experience and Skills:Sales/Marketing Experience: Three to five years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the construction materials industry, or significant technical experience and knowledge in aggregates.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction market and industry is an asset.Customer Value: Proven ability to add value to customers by listening to their needs, being responsive, and earning their trust daily. Demonstrated track record of revenue, volume, and profitability growth.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office.Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management capabilities.Results-Oriented: Goal-driven with the ability to take initiative and achieve results.Preferred Experience and Skills:Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.B2B Sales: Preference for candidates with business-to-business sales and customer service experience.Industry Relevance: Preference given to candidates with experience related to the building materials industry.Work EnvironmentRole operates primarily a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.What we have to offer Work in a great team environmentWork in a plant with a long-term future Opportunities for growthComprehensive competitive compensation and benefits package.Heidelberg Materials is a drug free workplace.
