Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PART TIME
Overview Assists in the care of students, as an integral member of the interdisciplinary health team, including administration of treatments and medications, education, screening, and clinic flow activities in accordance with Cherokee Nation Policies and Procedures and the Oklahoma State Nursing Practice Act. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS None required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must possess and maintain a license as a Practical Nurse issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES None required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and contagious and infectious diseases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Saturday 7am - 8pm & Sunday 7pm - 8am
