Center Manager- Respite and Enrichment Centers
Center Manager – JABA Respite & Enrichment Center Location: Charlottesville or Louisa - This position will share joint responsibility, covering both centers in coordination with partnering Center Manager. Position Type: Full-Time Position Overview: JABA (Jefferson Area Board for Aging) is dedicated to supporting the well-being and independence of older adults and their caregivers. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced professional to lead our Respite & Enrichment Centers for adults living with dementia or other disabilities. The JREC Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, including supervising staff, managing program development and delivery, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, and fostering strong relationships with participants, families, and the community. Key Responsibilities: + Manage the overall operations of the JREC, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. + Supervise, train, and support center staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care. + Oversee programming addressing the social, emotional, and physical needs of participants. + Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. + Manage budget to ensure the center operates within its allocated resources. + Coordinate participant intake and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. + Lead quality improvement initiatives and seek feedback to continuously improve services. Qualifications: + RN degree or Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, human services, or a related field and two years of experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities or current licensure as a nursing home administrator or assisted living facility administrator. + Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members. + Knowledge of regulations and best practices related to adult day services or willingness to learn. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community partners. + First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). + Background check and TB screen required.
