Center Store Specialist
**Position Overview** The Center Store Category Specialist is responsible for selling and directing the company's retail customer base on the best practices to grow Center Store Categories, including Dry Grocery; Frozen; Dairy and GM/HBC, as well as to increase market share and non-perishable revenue and profitability. The Specialist engages with decision makers in Independent Retailers to assist with sales and merchandising of Corporate Brands, new item introductions and major product concentration increases in high priority categories. **Job Description** **Description** + Drive and expand the distribution of Corporate Brands by filling all category voids and establishing a fair share of shelf for current and potential SKUs + Gain authorization and distribution of new items in line with sell-in objectives and forecasted revenue goals + Identify and act on major PCR growth opportunities + Travel to store and complete routed individual visits to assist retailers in achieving and maintaining a business relationship with the company, including problem solving, negotiating, and developing programs while securing integrity and trust between the company and the retailer + Provide regular Category Training to store contacts on new items, merchandising and departmental best practices + Assist Grocery department managers, owners, and/or supervisors with product selection, training on new products and proper merchandising, retails to establish proper gross profits for their departments, assist writing ads using our ad program, and maintaining the product list with acceptable retails. + Sell special buy programs and the associated merchandising programs to stores + Travel Required: Yes **Environment** + Store: Office Temperature (65F to 75F) + Office: Office Temperature (65F to 75F) **Skills** + Private Label product knowledge; Knowledge of supply chain + Knowledge of product procurement and vendor relations preferred + Professional verbal and written communication skills; organizational and collaboration skills + Sound wholesale and retail financial acumen and analytical capability **Years Of Experience** + 2-5: years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of five to seven years of Wholesale or Perishable Retailing experience **Qualifications** Associate Degree - General Studies, Bachelor's Degree - General Studies **Shift** 1st Shift (United States of America) **Company** C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC **About Our Company** C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery supply in the United States.
