Position Summary:
The CRO will be responsible for the plant operations from the control room to ensure the plant meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, generations, cost targets, safety within strict environmental limits. This will include regular equipment start ups, shut down, changeover and regular operation/ monitoring, as well as responding to alarms and emergencies condition. The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated to operating a modern Cogeneration plant, Gas Turbine Plant, MED, Desalination Plant and a wide range of Auxiliary Equipment.
The CRO should complete the field operator PQR and should be able to work in the field when required.

Safety & Environment
Plant Operations
Ensure optimum performance of the plant at all times and maintain the level of power and water export as required by off taker control center. Performa periodic plant test activities to ensure reliability of trip devices and standby plant equipment. Perform safe plant start-ups and shut down procedures to maintain optimum reliability of power and water plant equipment. Monitors performance of the plant during operations and shut down conditions. Monitors and analyses performance parameters of the plant for change and perform corrective actions necessary to keep the plant in a safe and efficient running condition. Planned and controlled changeover/ shutdown of plant equipment for maintenance purposes. Directs and guides field operators regarding handling and operating of plant equipment in field and conduct routine plant test/ changeover/ maintenance activities. Prepares the following reports Shift Report Trip Reports. (To record plant failures or trip condition analysis) Shift Production Control Room Log Other Related to equipment operations Play a Lead Role in case of emergency in the absence of Shift Engineer
Raising Plants Defects and Planning
Raise work orders in system to report plant defects and follows up on progress. Coordinate with the Shift Engineer and maintenance team to schedule planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Prepare and issue safety documentation to ensure safe isolations from the system for the purpose of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.Coordination with Power, Gas, Sea Water & Water Control Centers
Coordination and strong liaison with Power, Gas, Sea Water & Water Control Centers with regard to Availability Declarations & Requirements Planning.Frame Work, Boundaries, & Decision Making Authority
Job Holder operates under the general guidance of the Shift Engineer. The job holder is free to plan and manage own areas of activity within predefined limits. Any extra-ordinary issue arising out of the set policy and procedure are to be referred to the Sr. Shift Engineer for the approval of recommendation/ Solicitation of Further Action Plan.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Proper planning to support maintenance team for plant maintenance. Strict Compliance of Safety Procedures. Raising service request in a timely manner. Quality reports to record initial information related to system faults and trips. Accurate declaration of Power & Water availability. Liaison with Power, Gas, Sea Water & Water Control Centers. Quality of Switching Sequence Records. CRO should be conversant with the ENGIE Safety Rules and work as designated person, Issuer and safety controller. CRO should complete the skill matrix and should be able to work as Acting shift engineer.
