Central Credential/Verification Coordinator - Legal - Per Diem
Position Summary: Primary responsibility is performing credential verification services for Guthrie Entities. Education, License & Cert: High School Graduate or equivalent required or Associates Degree preferred. Experience in provider credentialing preferred. Experience: General office and administrative experience required, at least 3 years. Credentialing experience preferred. Should have excellent interpersonal, organization and verbal/written communication skills. Experience handling confidential/sensitive information. Must have ability to work under pressure, exercise independent judgement, and maintain composure and positive attitude. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize and work in a fast‐ paced environment. Essential Functions: 1. Perform verifications of provider credentials adhering to requirements for timely and accurate documentation as part of the credentialing and recredentialing processes. 2. Perform internet‐based queries, initiate background clearances, contact prior affiliations and malpractice carriers as appropriate. 3. Maintain current checklists reflecting progress of an applicant’s file and upon completion, disseminate file to appropriate decision‐making entity. 4. Prepare letters, forms, and Excel spreadsheets. 5. Assist with file audits and NCQA survey preparation. 6. Track expirables. 7. Oversee one or more accounts for credentialing. Process requests for payment as needed. 8. File maintenance, software maintenance, scanning, uploading to software, etc. Other Duties: 1.
