Job Details The CIP Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the department, including the education and supervision of personnel involved in the preparation and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment for use in the care and treatment of patients. With patient safety and cost effectiveness a priority, the manager is responsible for inventory control and for the financial and physical resources of the department including the evaluation of new products and services and their justification of use. Responsibilities: Assists in the management of the financial and physical resources of the department. Responsible for inventory control issues. Responsible for preparation of equipment and instrumentation. Performs administrative duties related to orientation, scheduling, and assigning staff; monitors the quality of services delivered. Documents all training and continuing education for staff. Develop and conduct in-services; special training for staff Maintain and utilize the tray tracking system per MMC policy Adhere to crash cart exchange system as per MMC policy Coordinated with the operating room and other consumers of CIP to ensure continuous workflow between units. Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. An Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a related Allied Health field equivalent preferred. IAHCSMM (CRCST) Certification required within 90 days of hire. Minimum of five years experience in Central Service area required, with at least two (2) years of that experience spent in a Lead, Supervisory or Managerial capacity. Salary Range USD $75,613.00 - USD $102,094.00 /Yr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
