Starting with a structured orientation week at our corporate headquarters near Portland, Ore, you’ll be able to meet the team and learn the full scope of our business. Throughout the summer months, you’ll dive deep into a meaningful project for our company, which you’ll then present to our executive leadership team at the end of your internship. This internship will focus on working with the software program Salesforce to help set up all CP's detail and train the team on using it. Collecting, standardizing, storing, product specification, packaging files, POS materials and photo banks on all items. Learn the certification detail on all items, pallet quantities by item, and by cold storage facility. Vendor mapping all categories, items, accruals and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:Assist category managers with the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.Achieve optimum service cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets.Work with category managers with the development of price forecasts for key market drivers.Insure product availability and performance.Process all distribution and outside customer ordersWork with cold storage facilities for releasing inbound ordersManage and track all overseas containers via our inbound logistics worksheet.Manage all banking and wire details on all purchasesWork with FDA on product hold, working to keep the process movingWork with Accounts Receivable to on customer reconciliation.Keep an updated weekly freight log for all outbound orders, tracking cost against the accrualDevelop in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure. Assist category managers with negotiations with vendors for the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment and services.Assists with the developing new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.Assist category managers with directing contract terms and manage vendor contracts to track financial terms, renewal terms, and other important contractual terms.Preparation of relevant reports identifying the status of open purchases.Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages.Schedule and coordinate product pick-ups.Perform other duties as assigned. Coordinate all activities that encompass all of our managed categories.
