This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Central Receiving will ensure that inbound and outbound packages and envelopes are handled properly and efficiently. In this role, you will ensure shipments meet local government and international regulatory requirements.

Key AccountabilitiesProvide shipping desk services for a single location or multiple locations.Receive, sort and deliver inbound mail parcels, spare parts and packages.Support internal customers for the shipment of outgoing packages and spare parts to ensure proper packaging and labeling requirements for chemical and hazardous materials shipments, international shipments, partial truck shipments and priority packages.Prepare carrier labels and provide support for other company locations.Identify and resolve routine problems following established guidelines.Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assignedQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalentMinimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. SAP experience Ability to lift 50 poundsAble to work in an environment with changing temperaturesMust be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in computer skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsInventory experience with a focus on inventory counts
