Position Summary:
Sovah Martinsville is seeking a full-time Central Sterile Process Manager to assist in establishing the policies and procedures, that provide for effectively decontaminating, disinfecting, cleaning, processing and assembling, and storing sterile and non-sterile medical devices and supplies and patient care equipment. Plans, organizes, develops, coordinates, and directs the operations of Central Processing Collects.
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Collaborates as needed across disciplines with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.Oversees the clinical and technical skills involved in the decontamination, assembly, wrap sterilization, and delivery of surgical instruments, supplies, and patient care equipment according to Hospital policies and procedures in conjunction with AAMI Standards.Oversees documentation of the sterility of all instruments and supplies according to hospital policy and procedure in conjunction with AAMI Standards.Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with an emphasis on safety.Documents the sterility of all instruments and supplies according to hospital policy and procedure in conjunction with AAMI Standards.Provide customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient's needs.Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological, and mechanical indicators to verify sterility by manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.Minimum Education:

Previous experience in the central sterile supply setting is desirable. Requirements will include successful completion of the orientation program and competency requirements.
