Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Tech to join our team at Geneva General Hospital. Applicants must be certified and experienced as a Central Sterile Processing Tech, to be considered.    POSITION SUMMARY: Under the leadership of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager , demonstrates competency in indentification, decontamination, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments.  Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers,washer decontaminators and ultra sonic cleaner following a detailed orientation. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Minimum: High School education or equivalent. Preferred:  Certification as Central Sterile Technician.
LICENSE:
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: Central Sterile Technician certification requirement within 12 months of hire. 
WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: Previous experience in sterile processing. 
SKILLS: Minimum: Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literacy. Salary Range: $18.69-$20.04
