Central Sterile Processing Tech

Thorough knowledge of decontamination of instruments, equipment, and patient reusables. Preparation of instrumentation and patient reusablesKnowledge of packaging items for sterilization properly.Maintains and updates instrument set item lists.Knowledge of materials which can be steamed vs. sterrad vs. high level disinfectionThorough understanding of event related sterilizationKnowledge of the sterilization processMaintains adequate levels of items required for departmental inventoryPerforms other jobs assigned by managementAll employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

High school graduate or equivalent.1 to 3 years of Sterile processing experience preferredCertification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certification from IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.Benefits Include:
