Job Description Under direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for performing all duties related to ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control of supplies. Qualifications + Ability to key in data, perform keyboard operations, and operate a computer + Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form + Ability to interpret detailed information such as inventory, supply and demand + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, etc. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent + Good organizational skills + Must be capable of regular attendance + Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand EnglishMust be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions and Physical and Sensory Requirements for All Job Functions as outlined below. Essential Job Functions + Check and maintain as appropriate stock levels of supplies daily. + Remove outdated, damaged, etc., supplies from stock and disposes of them. + Establish and update inventory daily as items are used and documents on inventory sheet. + Receive requisitions and orders stock supplies and equipment needed to maintain adequate stock level. + Assess stock to determine needs and ensures cost control and timely inventory turnover. + Process incoming supplies including checking invoices against purchase order request, unpacks items, labels items where applicable, and incorporates into perpetual inventory. + Restock station and/or floor supply areas as needed. + Monitor and retrieve daily charges from medical and nursing supply charge system. + Reconcile charges daily with inventory issued ensuring all inventory has a charge slip. + Maintain worksheets required for DMS and Pharmacy medical supply billing. + Enter necessary data into computer system required by supply policies and procedures. + Maintain orderly and clean supply storage area. + Forward charge records daily to the Financial Specialist. + Monitor equipment utilization. + Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures.
