JOB SUMMARY
The Centralized Scheduling Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective scheduling. This involves analyzing historical data and forecasting future demand, as well as developing staffing plans and schedules that optimize the use of available resources. The Centralized Scheduling Planner monitors employee productivity adjusts staffing levels and schedules as needed to ensure that service levels are met. Planners are also responsible for accurately tracking refusals/turndowns of shifts. Planners make use of all applications available to track and properly record information related to scheduling.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Develop and optimize weekly schedules for various departments based on business needs and labor standards
Observe departments to understand business volumes and staffing needs/opportunities
Coordinate with department heads to ensure proper staffing levels and effective use of resources
Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure optimal coverage and staffing levels
Review and approve time-off requests, schedule changes, and shift swaps
Communicate weekly shifts available and scheduling changes to team members
Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements
Use Virtual Roster and UKG to manage scheduling standards
Analyze scheduling data and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and productivity
Assist the Scheduling Manager in all scheduling and administrative responsibilities for the assigned areas of the Property/Region
Assist the Scheduling Manager with any special assignments, such as in-house training, reporting, or other administration
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in the gaming industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with entry-level Excel knowledge
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective in both written and oral English
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and related regulations
Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, varied shifts, and holidays
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, multitask responsibilities, and solve problems in a timely manner
Must tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke
Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds, bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and work at a desk/counter
Must respond to visual and aural cues and have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment
Must be able to maneuver around the office and property
Must be adept at using a personal computer, phones, and copier
