POSITION SUMMARY:
The Centralized Scheduling Supervisor, Shared Services is responsible for the day to day operation of the Scheduling department ensuring that there is accurate and cost-effective scheduling of appropriately skilled employees rostered to departments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare and/or review rosters per departments to ensure it satisfies all labor requirements and operational demands as well as compliance with Government labor laws and company policies.
2. Prepare and/or review regular and ad hoc reports required or requested by Senior Management, Payroll and other Business Unit.
3. Provides Time Manager training to Business Unit Time Manager Approvers
4. Conducts all Virtual Roster Module UAT Testing as needed
5. Responds to all Rostering and Payroll queries and disputes
6. Consolidate and file payroll dispute in VR and submit the same to Payroll and IT System- HOH HR and Payroll.
7. Review roster tagging and Time and Attendance Approvals on or before payroll cut-off.
8. Works closely with Manager and Financial Analysis & Planning team on Demand Based Schedules
9. Assists in maintaining and reviewing policies and procedures pertaining to the scheduling environment, as well as identifying and recommending improvements to policies and procedures as necessary
10. Demonstrates an advanced working knowledge of the software package and rostering capabilities used within the department
11. Assists in the effective performance management of the Officers and Attendants, Centralized Scheduling.
12. Ensures all employees comply with departmental and company policies and Procedures.
13. Pro-actively seeks new and improved ways of working, using increased automation and technology where possible.
14. Ensures all Policies and Procedures are kept up to date and updated as changes occur.
15. Performs all other tasks as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. At least 2 years work experience in scheduling or workforce field
2. Strong customer service background and administrative experience at a senior level, including rostering experience in a medium-large organization
3. Knowledge of Virtual Roster software package would be preferable
II. Education
Preferably with university or higher education qualifications.
