CEQA/NEPA Environmental Planner Location: Ontario, California (Hybrid Schedule) Salary: $82,000 – $94,000 annually Job Type: Full-time Make an Impact Where It Matters Are you passionate about shaping the future of California’s environment and infrastructure? From flood control to transportation and land development, your work will help ensure that critical infrastructure meets environmental standards and serves communities sustainably. What You’ll Do As a CEQA/NEPA Planner, you’ll play a key role in preparing environmental documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance under CEQA and NEPA. You’ll collaborate with project managers, technical experts, and public agencies to guide projects from concept to clearance. Your responsibilities will include: + Drafting portions of IS/MNDs, EIRs, EAs, and EISs + Researching and interpreting federal, state, and local environmental regulations + Coordinating with public agencies and stakeholders + Supporting land use planning and demographic analysis + Developing technical reports, maps, and data visualizations + Assisting with project scopes, schedules, and budgets + Participating in client and agency meetings + Working independently with a proactive, quality-focused mindset What You Bring + Bachelor’s degree in natural science, biology, botany, wildlife management, or a related field + At least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or public agency planning in Southern California + Strong writing, research, and communication skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Willingness to travel to project sites as needed Perks & Benefits + 401(k) retirement plan + Hybrid work schedule (Mon–Wed in office, Thurs–Fri remote) + Health insurance + Paid vacation and holidays + Professional development support If you’re ready to grow your career while making a real difference in environmental planning, we’d love to hear from you. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
