Certification Engr I
The Certification Engineer I is responsible for ensuring that electronic products meet all applicable regulatory, safety, and environmental standards required for global market access. This role involves managing product compliance activities, coordinating with testing laboratories, and supporting cross-functional teams during product development and certification processes. As a Certification Engr I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the certification process for new products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will assist in developing and implementing certification strategies and plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification. Staying updated with industry trends and regulations related to product certification will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to the team. In this role, you will impact Honeywell by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining product quality, reducing time-to-market, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement in the certification process. Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture. + Lead and manage product certification projects for electronic devices, including EMC, safety, wireless, and environmental compliance. + Interpret and apply international standards (e.g., IEC, UL, FCC, CE, RoHS, FM) to product designs. + Prepare and submit documentation packages to regulatory bodies and certification agencies. + Coordinate with external testing labs and certification bodies to schedule and oversee testing activities. + Review and approve product labeling, user manuals, and technical documentation for compliance. + Support design teams by providing guidance on regulatory requirements during product development. + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders. + Assist in internal audits and support continuous improvement of compliance processes. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, **Chemical** or related field. + 1–3 years of experience in product certification or regulatory compliance for electronic products. + Familiarity with global certification schemes (e.g., FCC, IC, CE, **UL** , CB Scheme). + Experience with **EMC, RF** , and safety testing procedures and standards. + Strong understanding of **technical documentation** and **regulatory submissions** . + **Fluent in English** . **WE VALUE** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and project management abilities. + Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. **\#LI-Hybrid** Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
