Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as the authority, consultant and practitioner for a comprehensive program of musculoskeletal injury prevention and care for officer candidates undergoing training and attendant instructors/staff. You will provide professional and program management advice necessary to promote goals associated with the training of officer candidates You will provide prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries sustained during rigorous military training. You will provide musculoskeletal injury assessment and treatment. You will provide emergency first aid, evaluation and treatment of injuries, and aid in preliminary diagnosis to include recognition of severity of injury, rendering initial treatment and performing initial examination. You will Provide instruction (PME, pick-up training, etc.) to battalion sta? in functional movement pa??erns, exercise physiology, stretching and exercises, especially those related to combat and/or military function. You will Serves as participate on the TECOM Combat Conditioning/Injury Prevention Committe. You will assist with inventory and maintenance of ATC supplies and equipment Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirement your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER in a sports training and/or entry level military training setting providing prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries sustained during rigorous military training. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Basic Education Requirements Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
