We are recruiting for the following position(s): Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Certified Coding Specialist – Posting #27375 (This is an on-site office position, not a remote position) Hourly Rate: $24.19 - $26.77 Position Summary: Certified Coding Specialist are paid based on experience. Primary responsibility is to abstract coding from medical records to obtain the highest level of reimbursement from payers and comply with all state and federal laws. Position will assist in the training and development of training materials for staff and providers. Position is responsible for documenting coding patterns, conducting trend analysis, and auditing coding accuracy. Position will also correct coding related denials and may be assigned to maintain system master files, run and work system reports on claims and denials as needed. This position requires direct communication with providers. Education and/or Experience: + Current certified coder certificate from AAPC or AHIMA, preferably CPC or CCS/CCS-P required. Can be a (CPC-A) or associate (CCA). + Graduation from an accredited two-year college with a degree in business, accounting or health information systems preferred. + Actual coding experience preferred. + Experience in medical, dental, and/or behavior health billing/coding, ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT coding and medical terminology and anatomy preferred + A 90% or higher grade on the Pre-Employment Assessment test required. + Must be able to compile, interpret, and utilize information.  + Must be able to work well with diverse group of individuals including staff and clients.  + Must be able to resolve client billing problems in a timely manner. + Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
