CDM, CFPP Certification REQUIRED   Job Summary Summary: As a Dining Services Manager, you will manage a team of food service professionals and be responsible for the overall service in the main dining room as well as special functions. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining interdepartmental relations and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Dining Services Operations & Management + Oversees medium to large-volume dining operations, ensuring high-quality service. + Engages with customers, addressing complaints professionally. + Supports budgeting, profit and loss management. + Collaborates with the Chef and leadership on menu creation and food quality. + Leads meal service operations in seated dining settings, focusing on sanitation, infection control, and facility activities. + Assists with new culinary program rollouts and marketing initiatives to enhance sales and food quality. + Prepares quarterly reports for client presentations. + Ensures alignment between culinary programs and company vision. + Performs additional duties as assigned Resident Experience & Clinical Management + Conducts food preference introductions within 48-72 hours of admission, coordinating with MNA screenings. + Attends Resident Council/Food Committee meetings. + Partners with Lifestyle teams on monthly nutrition events and holiday promotions. + Manages menu programs, including resident data entry and ticket printing. + Provides MNA screening within 48-72 hours if RD is unavailable. + Supports RD PTO coverage by assisting with low-risk resident assessments and MDS completion. + Aids in Unidine Signature Program implementation and menu planning. + Attends Care Plan and clinical meetings if RD is unavailable. Staff & Operations Oversight + Manages, schedules, trains, and conducts payroll for AL/MC/SN healthcare staff. + Leads daily line-ups and ensures regulatory compliance for kitchen and dining areas. + Executes the Annual Planner and monthly senior living marketing promotions. + Oversees pantry safety, sanitation, stock levels, and snack program operations. + Participates in weekly Unidine management meetings. + Supports both Client and Unidine QAPI programs through audits and data analysis. Qualifications: + 2 years of food service management experience. + Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations. + Waited table and catering experience is preferred. + Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. + Communication skills both written and verbal. + Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills. + Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet. + ServSafe Certification is preferred. + Associate’s degree is preferred.
