Our Johnson City Location is looking for someone to join our team as a Certified Electrician for our Manufacturing operation on 1st Shift. This shift is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Must be able to cover occasionally on Saturdays.

SCOPE
This position performs a variety of mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting functions that include, but are not limited to fabrication, modification, installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electronic components, parts, sub-assemblies or equipment. Works directly with engineers, designers, specialists and management, as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots/repairs and handles all electrical maintenance and repair using a variety of industrial equipment, tools and machinery. Conducts and documents tests on systems and equipment to determine compliance, reliability and to identify potential problem areas; troubleshoots equipment, instrumentation, manufacturing processes, technical problems and procedures. Troubleshoots and maintains motor controls, lighting systems, control boxes, PLC’s and PLC programs. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; evaluating new equipment and techniques, tests equipment in compliance with OSHA and N.E.C. regulations. Conducts and documents tests or calibrations on systems and equipment to determine compliance, reliability and to identify potential problem areas. Troubleshoots equipment, instrumentation, manufacturing processes, technical problems and procedures. Enhances equipment performance by developing and installing modifications and making adjustments. Confirms equipment performance by conducting electrical tests. Supports company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, QSR, and FDA regulations. Works independently to complete work assignments with minimal supervision as well as a team member to contribute to teams’ accomplishments in the support of production personnel and assure the highest quality devices can be produced. Reports complaints in accordance to complaint handling process. Establishes and maintains a safe work environment for all employees. Assists in maintaining up-to-date documentation, manuals and drawings. Completes shop records and uses reporting system. Assists in validation of new equipment. Depending on the needs of the company, the employee may be entrusted with and asked to perform other tasks related to his/her competence.
EDUCATION
Associates degree in Electrical Technology or a similar degree or combination of education and experience equivalent to such degree
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSING
Certified Electrician
YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE
One year experience in related field Experience with PLC (programmable logic controller) Experience working with equipment such as CNC, robotic pick and place, injection mold and compression mold a plus Machine shop experience preferred
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CAPABILITIES
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system, schematics, or equipment. Understanding of lock-out / tag-out system and ARC Flash processes. NEC Code, and PLC & Robotic knowledge. Electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, electronic production technologies, electronic systems, and equipment maintenance. Experience in 110, 220 and 240 voltage. Experience with electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to effectively and clearly communicate one-on-one and small group situation. Basic computer skills such as Microsoft office – Word, Excel. Internet software, Email application, Database software, etc. Design software Manufacturing software / programming Project Management Software
