Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Description

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The role involves providing age-specific direct care services to patients throughout their lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff, ensuring effective resource utilization crucial for operational stability.

ResponsibilitiesAdminister occupational therapy to patients of all ages.Coordinate, delegate, and supervise tasks assigned to supportive staff.Demonstrate effective resource utilization.Communicate effectively to assist in resolving problems.Participate in performance improvement and program growth.Engage in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire safety programs.Essential SkillsOccupational Therapy Florida State License1-2 years of experience as a Hand TherapistBLS CertificationAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Occupational TherapyCNOR, CSSM certificationsExperience in Case Management or as a Manager, Supervisor, or Team LeadWork Environment

The position operates within an acute care facility located in west Miami-Dade County, boasting 417 beds. Services include trauma, burn, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostic services. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating weekends, offering a shift differential of $3/hr. The workplace culture is supportive and offers excellent benefits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67849.60 - $101774.40/yr.
