Certified Industrial Hygienist

**This Opportunity**
WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time **Industrial Hygienist** for New York, NY office **.**
**Your Impact**
+ Carry out a broad range of industrial hygiene assessments, including air monitoring for chemical exposures, noise evaluations, and indoor air quality (IAQ) testing.
+ Develop and implement EHS/IH programs such as written plans, employee training, and emergency procedures.
+ Prepare clear and detailed reports summarizing methods, results, and recommendations for both clients and regulatory agencies.
+ Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and process reviews to identify potential risks before they become issues.
+ Oversee and support remediation and abatement projects involving asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials.
+ Assist with proposal development and cost estimates to support new project opportunities.
**Who You Are**
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Current CIH credential required.
+ 5-7 years of professional industrial hygiene or EHS experience, ideally in consulting or a similar fast-paced environment.
+ Strong understanding of OSHA standards as well as NYS and NYC EHS requirements.
+ Strong writing ability, effective verbal communication, solid data analysis, and critical thinking skills.
+ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the NYC/NYS metro region.
+ Ability to perform fieldwork that includes walking for extended periods, working in various site conditions, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ CSP or CHMM certification.
