**Certified Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, Castlegar, BC** Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a **Certified Industrial Mechanic/Millwright** for our sawmill. An Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at Interfor extends beyond typical maintenance of mechanical systems. This includes working with automated equipment, sophisticated PLC systems and remote/web-based technologies. **What You’ll Do** + Preventivemaintenance and repair of mill maintenance and kiln hot oil systemsequipment. + Installmachinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and otherdrawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. + Workin a safe and efficient manner, following all safety rules and regulationsas well as using all personal protective gear/equipment as required. + Youwill be a highly motivated team player, with strong communication andinterpersonal skills and a proven track record on safety. + Thisposition has varied shifts (3 Shift rotation and/or weekend shift). **What You Offer** + RedSeal certified Millwright. + Millmaintenance and Kiln Hot Oil Systems experience an asset. + Strongsafety background. + Understandthe importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team. + Open-mindedand positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things. + Ableto communicate effectively with your team and other departments. + Takepersonal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. + Recognizeproblems and have them corrected immediately.
