Certified Level II Pharmacy Tech, Retail

Certified Pharmacy Technician, fulltime position, with distribution, sterile compounding and inventory management responsibilities. Daily tasks include preparing doses, packaging, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, controlled substance distribution, returns, crash cart restocking, sterile compounding and wholesale drug and supply orders.  Performs monthly unit inspections and quarterly clinic inspections.

EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Typing skills and computer experience preferred. Ability to multitask. Ability to solve problems independently. Follow through with resolution to problems.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS:

Education:  High School Graduate.

 

Experience:  One (1) year of hospital or Pharmacy Technician experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

 

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:

Certified Technician required. Must obtain required CEU to maintain registration. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the KY Board of Pharmacy is required.
