Responsibilities + Patient Care: + Take and record patient medical histories. + Measure and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate). + Prepare patients for exams and assist healthcare providers during procedures. + Clinical Duties: + Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed by physicians. + Collect and prepare lab specimens (e.g., blood, urine) for testing. + Perform basic diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, vision tests). + Sterilize and maintain medical instruments. + Patient Education: + Provide patients with instructions for medications, procedures, and follow-up care. + Educate patients on health management and preventive care. Qualifications + Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCT) + High school diploma. + BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification. + Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
