Responsibilities + Provide direct patient care to patients, including assessments, administering medications, and performing minor procedures. + Assist physicians during patient exams and treatments. + Educate patients and caregivers on health management, preventive care, and follow-up procedures. + Administer immunizations and coordinate well-child checkups, ensuring appropriate vaccines are given at the proper intervals. + Prepare patients for exams, including taking vitals, preparing medical equipment, and documenting patient information. + Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring patient history, assessments, and treatment plans are up to date in the electronic health record (EHR) system. + Manage phone triage for questions. + Provide emotional support and education to children and families, helping alleviate any concerns about treatments and procedures. + Ensure compliance with all clinic protocols and safety regulations. Qualifications + Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses + Current CMA certification through one of the of the following credentialing body; AAMA, AMT, NCCT or N H A. + Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse . + Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred. + BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification. + Computer data entry experience. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Ability to work as a team member.
