CHI Health has an immediate need to add a Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide or CNA) to our Rheumatology Clinic! This person will be working at our W Broadway Clinic in Council Bluffs, IA on Mondays & Thursday's and then Tuesday & Wednesday's will be at our CUMC-Bergan campus off of 77th & Mercy! If you have a passion for supporting others and enhancing patient experience, we want to talk to you. **Expectations:** + Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. + Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. + Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit. + Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. + Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. + Cleans and sterilizes instruments. + Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly. + Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately. + Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated. + Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Graduate of medical assisting program + Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA) + Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid + Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association + High school diploma or equivalent **Pay Range** $17.89 - $24.60 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
