Administrative duties: + Use computer applications. May include, but not limited to: EMR, Microsoft Word, and Excel + Answer telephone calls + Update and file patient medical records + Checking in patients + Schedule appointments Clinical duties: + Escort patients to testing and exam rooms, measure vital signs and records all information in patient’s chart + Collect and prepare laboratory specimens + Phlebotomy; Prepare and administer vaccinations as directed by a physician + Explain testing to patient + Obtain all test results for each patient, and alert physician of abnormal results + Perform other related duties, as assigned or requested **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** + **Minimum qualifications** : + High school diploma or GED required + Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following: 1. American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) 2. American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) 3. National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) 4. National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) 5.
