The Certified Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned areas or office.

Under the supervision of physician, nurse practitioner, or nurse assist with performing patient assessments and treatments. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given. Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent RequiredGraduate of a Program in Discipline Preferred

Certifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) within 60 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireCertification (NCCT, AAMA, or NHA) may be obtained within 30 days of hire
