Ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. Assists providers with all respects of direct patient care. Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care. Assists with follow up of patient testing. Supports satellite offices as needed. Completes work ques to assist with patient referrals.
Qualifications: Medical Assistant certification by either AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT required, and must be a graduate of a postsecondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience. . Computer proficiency required, use of electronic health record (Epic) preferred. Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred.
