The Faculty Practice is made up of 7 departments. We have Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Advanced Gastroenterology, Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Motility. Our physicians see patients at Hope Tower, the Jane H Booker Clinic, and do rounds at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Our departments as a whole see anywhere from 70-140 patients per day.
This is a CMA position for Endocrinology:
If you are looking to further your clinical experience, this is the position for you! This is not your typical CMA position, you will be working side by side with our LPN to assist patients with their authorizations for medications and injections, managing the intake of clinical calls and properly triaging them to either the physician or the LPN, and managing the clinical in-baskets. With a department of 7 physicians and growing, we are a very busy, high-profiled department that takes pride in the work we successfully complete on a daily basis and the satisfaction of our efficient and effective care we provide to the community.
This is a Monday-Friday 830a-5p position, no weekends, no nights, no on-call.
The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of the professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and provides clerical office assistance.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma or equivalent such as a GED Excellent communication skills Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with varying populations Ability to work in a fast paced environment Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Registered Medical Assistant or National Certified Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
