\nJob Summary
\nCertified Medical Assistant 1 Float handles patient healthcare under professionals' guidance. Tasks include record-keeping, medication administration, injections, and vital sign documentation. Provide valuable support for smooth patient care.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nYou will act as a versatile resource for various clinics within a designated, local area.\nYou will be involved in patient examination and treatment under the guidance of a physician.\nYou'll keep treatment rooms ready for patient examination, ensuring their cleanliness after procedures and maintaining supplies.\nYou'll ensure the comfort of patients by assisting and accompanying them from waiting room to examination room.\nYou'll interview patients and record information in their medical records. Collect medical data to help physicians assess patient health and needs.\nYou will be responsible for readying all necessary documents and forms for each office visit.\nYou will check patient vital signs before exams, tests, procedures, and x-rays. This includes pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.\nRoutine patient testing is required. Acquiring and processing electrocardiograms is part of the job. Collecting and processing blood and urine samples is also necessary.\nYou'll administer oral, rectal meds, vaccines as directed. Report any adverse reactions promptly.\nAdditional duties will include the removal of sutures and staples and the changing of sterile and non-sterile dressings as required.\n\nKey Success Factors
\n\nYou are open to frequent travel to different clinics within a specified, local region to perform assigned tasks.\nYou earned a medical assistant certification from an approved program, like American Association of Medical Assistants or American Medical Technologists.\nYou are well-versed in the critical values of secure and accurate medical administration.\nYou understand the fundamentals of \"five rights\" - right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time.\nRecord patient info following policies, regulations, and procedures. Familiar with HIPAA guidelines.\nYou naturally observe patients' physical condition and promptly report any abnormalities to medical personnel.\nYou're capable of administering injections and drawing blood.\nYou are adept at medical terminologies.\nYour excellent interpersonal skills make patients feel comfortable. You come across as friendly, reassuring and approachable.\nYou're comfortable taking instructions from doctors.\nYou are accustomed to handling medical charts and records.\nYou display high regard for detail.\n\nBelonging Statement

QUALIFICATIONS
\n\nEDUCATION - H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent\nEXPERIENCE - Less than (1) one year of experience.\n\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.\nCert Medical Assistant (CMA): Must be CMA from one listed\nNat Cert Med Asst (NCMA) from NCCT\nCert Medical Asst (CMA) from AAMA or ARMA\nCert Cln Med Asst (CCMA) from NHA\nReg Med Asst (RMA) from AMT, AAMP or AAH\nNat Reg Cert Med Asst (NRCMA) from NAHP\nCln Med Asst Cert (CMAC) from AMCA.\n
