\nJob Summary
\nCertified Medical Assistants deliver healthcare, handle admin tasks, and clinical responsibilities. They manage patient records and care coordination tasks. They ensure high-quality health services and patient satisfaction.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nHandle relevant messages using our standard workflow.\nAct as the primary reviewer for all team-assigned messages, identifying those suitable for top professional roles.\nProvide patients with educational materials as directed by the medical professionals.\nEnsure message statuses are correctly marked to highlight who is responsible for further action.\nDirect out-of-scope messages to the right team member, pool, or provider.\nDocument all interactions and activities in the electronic medical record clearly and efficiently.\nFacilitate referrals and secure prior approvals as per our clinic workflow.\nManage paperwork such as Family and Medical Leave Act documents, home health forms, and others.\nImplement standing orders delegated to you.\nManage pending orders and related diagnosis codes.\nUndertake administrative duties including making patient calls, sending Mychart notifications, and passing along messages.\nTake on initial responsibility for closing care gaps for your assigned patient panels.\nIf necessary, perform in-clinic duties as outlined in the job descriptions for Certified Medical Assistants.\n\nKey Success Factors
\n\nProficiency in managing medical administrative tasks according to legal guidelines and productivity measures.\nA sound understanding of the importance of precise and risk-free medical administration.\nAcquaintance with the essential medical methods: correct patient, appropriate medication, accurate dose, suitable route, and right timing.\nThe ability to meticulously record patient information in line with organizational policies and procedures.\nKnowledge about privacy regulations in healthcare, specifically those related to HIPAA.\nSkill in administering injections and drawing blood.\nUnderstanding of medical terminology.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to listen well.\nQuick aptitude in evaluating requests using both online and paper-based materials, and accurately responding to inquiries from patients.\nGood data entry and computer skills are required, along with attention to detail.\nFast typing and excellent navigation abilities are also necessary.\nComfortable with high-pace and regularly changing working conditions.\n\nBelonging Statement
