**Qualifications**
**CMA:**
**Education** : High school diploma.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, that includes an externship in a medical office clinical setting, required. Curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. (Certificate must be obtained within six months of hire).
Certifications accepted:
+ CMA – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
+ CCMA – National Health career Association (NHA)
+ RMA – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
+ RMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
+ RMA - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
+ RMA - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
**Experience** : Previous work in a medical setting preferred.
+ Licensure/certification/registration: CMA, CCMA, RMA. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Annual UAP agreement with provider required.
+ Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
