Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. MOA pay is $17.60 OSF will invest in you on day 1! CMA candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience. May work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical support, assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities at the direction of the physician/provider. The incumbent performs the duties described below in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. If working in the Rural Health Clinic setting, will be required to have BLS through the American Heart Association. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED, Certificate of completion/Diploma from a medical assistant program or Certificate of completion from Guild certified medical assistant clinical education and applied learning program. Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential. American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential. National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential. National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential. American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: N/A Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy.
