Core Hours
Monday - Friday
3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Shift differential of $2.50/hr)
Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Medication Aide, you will:
+ Administer prescribed medications to incarcerated patients, ensuring adherence to medical orders and facility protocols
+ Verify patient identity and ensure proper ingestion/application of medications
+ Maintain accurate documentation of all medication administration and patient observations using electronic medical records
+ Monitor patients’ responses to medications and notify the nurse of any unexpected reactions
+ Assist with basic medical evaluations, including obtaining vital signs and diabetic readings
+ Manage and maintain medication inventories in accordance with facility policies and reorder supplies as needed
+ Follow strict security guidelines while providing care in a correctional facility
Typical Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
+ Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification
+ Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years
+ Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and concise patient records
+ Understanding of security protocols in a correctional setting
+ Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situation
