**What You'll Do:**
As a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA), you will ensure the well-being of residents through proper medication management. Under supervision, the CMA administers prescribed medications to residents and performs other nursing assistant responsibilities including bathing, dressing and feeding residents, recording clinical measurements and assisting in examinations and treatments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
+ Recording and documenting medication administration and resident responses
+ Monitoring residents for any adverse reactions or side effects
+ Collaborating with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication management
+ Assisting with other resident care tasks as needed, following protocols and procedures

**Qualifications of a CMA include:**
+ Valid State of Maine certification as a Medication Assistant
+ Exceptional attention to detail
+ Dedication to upholding high standards of medication administration and resident care
+ Compassionate and empathetic nature
+ Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment
