Evaluates and coordinates a total anesthesia regimen to deliver quality care that meets the needs of each patient. Assesses and prioritizes anesthetic decisions, administers anesthetic agents under established protocols and guidelines, and communicates patient status to healthcare team members. Monitors patient reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia and takes remedial action when warranted. Complies with applicable state health and safety laws, standards of practice, and Center policy to ensure proper anesthesia recovery. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** Graduation from an approved program of nursing anesthesia **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** RN-Registered Nurse of California CRNA-Certified Nurse Anesthetist BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support PALS - Pediatric Cardiac Life Support NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** 5 years recent relevant experience. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** Demonstrated proficiency in the administration of regional and general anesthesia, including resuscitating neonates and a working knowledge of medication pumps, data scopes, monitors, and operating room equipment. General knowledge of the dynamics and intervention techniques related to stressful or crisis, high-risk prenatal/delivery situations. Solid analytical and project management skills, including the ability to analyze problems, reach practical conclusions, and institute effective changes. Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain medical procedures, lab results, or sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences. General computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, laboratory information systems (LIS) to place orders/receive results, and EPIC to create/update patient electronic health records. Prioritize and delegate assignments under varied/urgent conditions and work based on experience, procedures, policies, and best practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (phi). Work independently as well as be part of an interdisciplinary team, while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Solve complex patient care problems guided by established patient care policies. Look at the broad perspective and interpret internal/external business challenges, identify innovative solutions and recommend best practices that improve or streamline programs, products, processes or services. Influence individuals or groups with different opinions and enlist cooperation without direct control or authority.
