Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Home Health team!
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The Health Unit Coordinator provides support in patient care areas to visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and caring manner.
HOURS: Supplemental or .1 FTE; 8 hours bi-weekly
Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience., and courses in computer applications and medical terminology.Graduation from an accredited program for Health Unit Coordinators, or training/education to meet job requirements beneficial.Two years’ experience as a Health Unit Coordinator beneficial.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Is able to travel to patient/client homes to provide patient/client care and/or supervisory visits.Employee Benefits:
