Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738 Job Description

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing basic care to patients and assisting them with daily activities. The CNA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and will be responsible for the following:

Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nurse in charge Assisting with feeding patients and ensuring they receive proper nutrition Assisting with mobility and transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or vice versa Keeping patients' rooms clean and organized Assisting with medical procedures such as taking blood pressure, administering medications, and changing dressings Providing emotional support to patients and their families Documenting patient care and reporting any changes in condition to the nurse in charge Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a state-approved CNA training program Current certification as a CNA Ability to work well in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and move patients as needed Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
