Responsibilities: + Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs + Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed + Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition + Complete required documentation in a timely manner + Assist in transporting residents as needed + Provide companionship to residents + Ensure the safety of our residents + Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged + Maintain a clean and healthy environment Requirements + Must hold a current certification and CNA license in Virginia + Must possess a positive and professional attitude + Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment + Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus + Ability to communicate effectively + Ability to remain calm and patient with residents + Ability to listen attentively is essential + Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure + A willingness to navigate changes in assignments + Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level Benefits Culture makes all the difference in an organization.
