Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Monday through Friday ONLY, No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays!

$15.00 per hour, Full-time position working 30 hours per week, plus all full-time employee benefits

Easterseals Florida is looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant at the Altrusa House adult day healthcare center in Gainesville. Altrusa House serves adults (18yrs and older) who have disabilities, including dementia related disorders. The CNA will assist in providing our members with a safe, stimulating, and fun-filled day by assisting in facilitating recreational and social activities daily, as well as nursing assistance and personal care.

A snapshot of what you'll do:

Provide personal care to clients, assisting them with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, feeding, changing clothes, etc.) Monitor and observe clients, documenting and reporting all observations and changes to the center director Support the nurse on duty in obtaining client vital signs

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience providing care to persons with disabilities, dementia, or other memory related disorders Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License Current CPR/First Aid Certification, preferred Computer Skills - word and excel, preferred An energetic creative and professional individual who will portray and promote a positive, respectful, and team-based environment Ability to work flexible hours when needed to meet the needs of the program (Center hours of operation are from 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday).
