Under the direction of a supervisor or physician, you will receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment. **A caregiver in this position works 8:00am-5:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Document patient information in the patient medical record. + Perform stocking, maintenance and other related duties as assigned, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies. + Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties and basic patient care as directed by physician or supervisor. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Successful completion of the written exam for Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. + Recent graduate an Ophthalmic Technology Program (not yet COT certified). + 1 year experience providing direct patient care under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience performing visual field testing, fundus photography, OCT, IOL Master, and contact lens I & R.
