Certified Ophthalmic Technician- Ophthalmology
**Responsibilities** The Certified Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patient and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards **Job Title:** **Certified Ophthalmic Technician- Ophthalmology** **Location: Upper Kirby** **Department:** **Ophthalmology** **Job Type: Full Time** **Salary Range: $49,730 - $61,442 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)** **Qualifications** **Education** Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Ophthalmic Assistant program **Experience** Required: At least 3 years’ experience in an ophthalmology. Preferred: At least 5 years’ experience in an ophthalmology. **License(s)** Required: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Preferred: N/A **Special Skills** Required: Proficiency with computers. Able to navigate between multiple applications: able to accurately enter data. Able to type 30 words per minute. Able to perform HVG, OCTs, NCT, A-scans, refracting and other diagnostic testing. EPIC, Slit Lamp exam, sensory motor exam, confrontational fields and fundus photography.
