Certified Peer Mobile Response SpecialistSpringfield & Southwest Missouri
$1,500 SIGN ON BONUS - Hiring for multiple shifts.
Summary:
The Certified Peer Specialist will share lived experiences of recovery to inspire and support clients by relating recovery stories. Discuss ongoing personal efforts to enhance health, wellness, and recovery while recognizing when to share experiences and when to listen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accompanied by Qualified Mental Health Professional Provides needed on-call/mobile coverage determined by their work schedule.Receives calls from Burrell Crisis Line or Crisis Services Leadership and conducts telephone or face to face assessments when requested. Engage clients in collaborative and caring relationships, using interpersonal skills, knowledge about recovery, and an attitude consistent with recovery orientation.Provide support to clients through validation of experiences and feelings, exploration and pursuit of community roles, conveying hope, celebrating efforts and accomplishments, and concrete assistance towards tasks and goals.Promote skills for coping with and managing addictions and mental health symptoms while encouraging the use of natural supports and enhancing community living.Provide a person-centered treatment approach where recovery goals are personalized to align with the specific hopes, goals, and preferences of the client served. Provide a trauma informed environment by using a framework that emphasizes physical, psychological, and emotional safety and creates opportunities for clients to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.Provide face-to-face and/or telephone contacts to consumers who have made contact with Burrell through various crisis programs such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), Zero Suicide Care Pathway follow-ups, and the ACI hotline; therefore, the ability to establish effective relationships via telephone is crucial. Attend scheduled conference calls, webinars, face-to-face meetings/trainings, and individual and group supervision.Complete all documentation requirements by stated deadlines. Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Services or designee.Review, understand, and follow the ACI Four Core Competencies.Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
