+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION + The Certified Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assists with the filling of medication orders/prescriptions, unit doses, checks outdates, fills stock, prepares IV medications, compounds, and delivers medications throughout the facility. Assists with collection of accurate and complete patient home medication lists. + QUALIFICATIONS + Professional/Educational + Current pharmacy technician licensure issued by the State of Illinois (20 for Certified Tech hour CEU's included) with biennial renewal. + Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (EXCPT) + DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. + Personal + Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, diplomacy, and honesty. + Demonstrates leadership, responsibility, and teaching ability. + Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. + Possesses the ability to work under pressure. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
