Position Summary\:

This position if for entry level pharmacy technicians, and non-certified pharmacy technicians. This position will require registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy, orientation and competencies relevant to hospital pharmacy workflows. The pharmacy technicians are an important part of ensuring medication safety for all patients we care for.

Primary (Essential) Duties\:

Oversee ADC controlled substance inventory management processes and proper counts (including monthly inventory)Ensure the timely resolution of ADC controlled substance discrepancies as supported by departmental policy and procedureReview outliers in controlled substance transactions among ADC cabinet users and work with area user management when outliers are identifiedProvide audits for pharmacy personnel when conducting daily ADC transaction activitiesProvide audits for nursing medication administration, documentation, and wasteDeliver medications to the floors and refill ADCsMonitor inventory and keep buyer updated of all inventory issuesPerform compounding for patient needs, this includes compliance to USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 requirements.May be asked to support medication reconciliation by performing medication history gathering for newly admitted patients.

Required\:

High school diploma, or GEDIdaho State or Technician in Training License required upon hirePTCB/NHA Certification required within 1 year of hire to qualify for Certified Pharmacy Technician ladder

Preferred\:

Some college education
