Minnesota Urology are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CphT).\n

This Prior Authorization\/Pre-Certification Coordinator \n

will perform prior authorizations and pre-certifications for Cancer Program Medications\n

and pre-collecting funds as appropriate and necessary\n

JOB SUMMARY:\n\nResponsible for performing prior authorizations and pre-certifications for surgeries, other office procedures as necessary, and pre-collecting funds as appropriate. \nAssist patients in obtaining prior authorizations and pre-certifications.\nServes as a resource for staff and physicians regarding prior authorization and pre-certification protocols.\nAttends various meetings and enhances professional development and growth on a regular basis; makes recommendations for revision and\/or new departmental procedures under the direction of the supervisor.\nIncorporates the use of technology. Completes pre-certification and prior authorizations online as required.\nCommunicate effectively and compassionately with patients, staff, management, and physicians.\nAssists with backup duties in the Business Office as needed.\n\n

EDUCATION\/TRAINING\/LICENSURE:\n\nCertified Pharmacy Technician (CphT) required.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nCoding coursework and knowledge preferred but not required.\nMinimum of one-year customer service or reception experience, preferably in a medical office environment.\nKnowledge of Athena Medical Practice Management System preferred, but not required. \nProficient computer skills required.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred.\nTwo years of experience working with various insurances strongly preferred.\nPrior experience in Prior Authorization\/Pre-certification preferred.\n\n
